continual coming and going

People in my surrounding are coming and going constantly. My friend Mel (with her cute babygirl) went back to Egypt where she is living for two years now. Vanessa finaly returned from Rome but tomorrow I have to say goodbye to another friend who is moving to Barcelona. And me, myeslf and I? Leaving to Stockholm! Only for five days... but I´m so excited. Fall shopping!

nadja auermann does german opera

German supermodel Nadja Auermann is the face of this years campaign for the German Opera in Berlin, which is just a short walk away from our home. The model didn´t get payed but received lifelong free admission to the opera house. "Tannhäuser", "Turandot", "Carmen" and the "Ägyptische Helena" are the operas of the new season. Star photographer André Rival did the shooting and turned her into four different strong & beautiful heroines. On this picture you see the theme of "Turandot".

my beloved couch

On sunday Eric invited his sister and me to dinner. So we went to the sushi restaurant around the corner and afterwards to a small café, where we had selfmade cake. When we returned home I was so tired that the only thing I could think of was sitting down on the couch and never get up again. After we watched "walk the line" (Reese and Joaqin are fabulous!) I finally did. But only to move from the couch into bed.

something new for the living room

This will be the new shelf unit in our living room. It´s designed by a friend of us, who studys product design at he University of Arts in Berlin and therefor it is very exclusiv. We will receive it the next weeks. I´m so excited!

a bunch of girls

Friday I met with my girls. We drank, talked, laughed and acted silly! Around midnight we went to a snack stall and got us some food and more wine. It was such a fun night.

she´s back again

My friend Vanessa who lived in Itay for the last two years is back in Berin! We celebrated that in a café where we sat on the smallest balcony I´ve ever seen. But it was very nice.

Last week I went to the concert of a friend of Eric. It was very entertaining to watch the crowd freak out. And the men in the green monkey costumes. Very funny to watch - but not to smell... We haven´t been to concerts for months and so it was great to be in an overcrowded club again.

is there anybody out there?

A few days ago I visited Natti and we tried to free her laptop from the 627 virus it had. Unfortunately it didn´t work... Later that night I wanted to take a cab ride home, but do you think in a big town like Berlin there is a free cab? No! So I decided to walk home.

Altough we moved in about four month ago our walls are still very vestal. It´s not that we don´t want to have pictures on he wall, it´s just that we don´t find something great. The last time we went to the surealism exhibition I bought some postcards in the little shop of the museum and there I saw a string with plastic brackets (that looked kind of cheap) to hold photos and stuff. So I decided to do it myself. I got me a clear string and metallic brackets from an art supply store. I´m very satisfied with the result.

rock the boat

On sunday we rent a boat and Eric paddled me across the lake while I enjoyed the sun. On our way back to the car we met thislittle familiy in the park... One of the grey ones attackted a sleeping man on the gras who didn´t got out of the way quick enough. Lovely litte swanies.

summer´s over?

Eric made this photo about a week ago. It was one of the last hot days in Berlin. But I hope hat there will be a few more in September. Please!!

celebrating my new neighbour

Well, Bennie isn´t my immediate neighbour, but he moved into a flat which is only a few hundred meters away from my place, so: my new neighbour. Natti and I went to visit him and I have to say that I became jealous, the second I stepped in. Such a wonderful view and so much space for only one person. Awesome. Like Niko´s David Hasselhoff shirt. And by the way... No, we german people aren´t big fans of David and no, he isn´t big here in Germany!

casual sunday

Sunday has been very slow and relaxing. We went to Eric´s parents and had barbecue with them. That was actually everything mentionable we did this day. I wore my comfy chemise from zara, which I got at ebay for a few euros.

the museum

Saturday I went again to the surrealism exhibition. This time I watched surrealistic movies and looked at some works of Jean Dubuffet, Man Ray, Salvador Dalí and many more. I especially liked the picture called "red cow" from Dubuffet. I got it as a postcard and will integrate it into our new corridor decoration that I´ll show you soon.

friends, friends, friends

This is how I like it. Having my best friends around, good weather and a glas of wine. Last week we sat outside and talked, laughed and enjoyed the last hours of the day. I like the picture of us three girls... Colour matching at its best.
